Today's little nugget comes courtesy of the ever-present Beirut. I'm not going to act like I know a whole lot about Zachary Condon aside from the fact that he consistently puts out interesting records. Venice struck me immediatley as a much more legitimate version of one of my guilty pleasure, Milosh. The synth soundscape feels like its going to explode and just never does, and that's just the beauty of it all--the anticipation. Let it soak.
